First Schmidt UK convention celebrates success and sets future strategy

Schmidt’s entire UK network of franchise owners, their key staff, plus the brand’s leadership team, convened this summer for the first ever UK conference – which proved to be a great success for both business and pleasure!

Held over two days in Schmidt’s home of Alsace, France, the conference highlights included:

  • Presentation on our UK strategy from country manager, Nicolas Rehbinder (pictured below) and others
  • Factory visits to two Schmidt production facilities in Sélestat
  • Engaging sessions with members of Schmidt Groupe’s Executive Committee

The UK strategy included a stated commitment to triple turnover in the UK by 2026.

That’s going to be achieved by increasing leads to our showroom owners, growing our network of showrooms, and further increasing our market share.

Turnover in 2021 grew by 40% year-on-year, so we know we have a strong customer proposition and with more product ranges and diversity to come, our franchise owners will benefit from huge levels of support.

Alongside the business events, we value the time our people can spend with each other, socialising, sharing experiences and ideas. The trip included a wonderful dinner together and we finished with a visit to the historic village of Kaysersberg, considered one of the most beautiful settlements in Alsace.
